He is survived by: his children, Brian Tuffin (Wendy) of Ankeny and Kay Kleinschrodt (Jason) of Newton; his grandchildren, McKayla, McKenzie, Jenna, Allyson, Braden, Katherine and Jacob; and his siblings, Kenneth, Tom, Robert, Margaret, JoAnn, Ruth and Marilyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
