It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vergal Marvin Briggs Jr. (Newton, Iowa), born in Yale, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vergal Marvin and Arcadia Rae Briggs (McIntire); his granddaughter Ashlee; and his sister Joanna. He is survived by: his children, Tonia Morrill (Briggs), Jacob Briggs (Nedra) and Bruce C. Briggs (Julie); and his siblings, Boice Briggs, Nina, Twylla and Janetta. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren.
