He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph W. Shaver and Theodora "Teddy" Shaver (Iske); his girlfriend Ilene Ann Lee (Green); his daughter Terri Lynn Rogers; and his siblings, Charlene Shunk and Larry Shaver.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Shaver of Newton, Ronald Shaver of Newton, Misty Shaver of Newton, Ron "Butch" Green (Amy Gilbert) of Newton, Daniel Lee (DeAnn) of Newton and Tammy Oertel (Kevin Bru) of Gilman. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 2 more great-grandchildren.
