She was predeceased by: her parents, Gael DePrenger-Atwood and Josie DePrenger-Atwood (DePrenger); and her siblings, Bernice Slaven, Fern Axtell-Ostermiller, Earl Atwood and Harry Atwood.
She is survived by: her husband George Osborne Jr. of Newton; her daughter Alicia Murphy (Matthew); and her granddaughters, Jael and Annabelle Lee Murphy.
In lieu of flowers memorials are being designated to the Newton Christian School, Community Heights Alliance Church or The Navigator's, in Shirley's name.
