He was predeceased by: his father Walter "Keith" Auten; and his grandparents, Jay, Bonnie Auten, Fred and Ada Diehm.
He is survived by: his mother Laura "Lynn" Auten (Diehm Easterla); his sons, Tanner Auten and Alex Auten; his siblings, Eric Easterla (Anne) and Julie Wade (Chris); and his close friend Robyn Taylor. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, a niece, and nephews.
