She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mahan and Grace Mahan; her brother Robert Mahan; and her siblings-in-law, Curt Hockaday and Carol Mahan.
She is survived by: her husband John of West Union, Iowa; her children, John R. Falb of Minneapolis, Minn., Kristan Burkart (James) of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Amy Edwards (James) of Chicago, Ill.; her grandchildren, Isabel, Sophie Young, Chad Burkart and Courtney Fraser (Conor); her great grandchildren, Declan and Lily Fraser; her siblings, Gary Mahan of Bettendorf, Iowa, Charles Mahan (Sue) of Huntley, Ill. and Carol Hockaday of San Carlos, Calif.; and her sister-in-law Myra Mahan of Palm Springs, Calif.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sally's honor may be made to the West Union Public Library or the West Union Recreation Center.
