He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Telfer and Myrna Telfer (Bradshaw); and his siblings, Edith Moore, Lois Stoner, Elsie Fatka, Irma Telfer, Vera Telfer, Marilyn Elrod, Myrna Schmitt, Grace Shuey, Wilma Briles, Merwyn, Robert and Wilbur Telfer.
He is survived by: his close friend Jan Waters of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sister Trula Telfer of Urbandale, Iowa; his children, Rodney Telfer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Todd Telfer (Robin) of Simpsonville and Terry Telfer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his stepdaughter Tala Nelson (Brian) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Hannah, Crystal and Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Sydney, Kelsey, Addy and Mason.
