He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray J. Dickerson and Rosetta Dickerson (Samuels); his siblings, Glen Dickerson, Madelyn, Toots and Janice; his son-in-law Jim Ayers; and his great grandchild Tyler Purvis.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Lee McGrath of Newton; his stepdaughters, Karla Clement (Jerry) of Newton, Sharon Clark of Newton and Debi Snook (Rob) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Steve Ayers, Julie McWhirter, Lisa Hansen, Mark Ayers, Dave Purvis, Kim Mueller, Leasha Trease, Emily Barrett and Ryan Provin. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
