He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Oswalt of Newton; his children, Stephanie Conklin (Bill) of Newton, Tonya Smith (Marty) of Newton, Donna Plumb (David) of Newton and Steve Oswalt (Julie) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Brooke Swihart (Kyle), Carter Smith, Brittnee Haynie (Matthew), Cole Smith, Nicole Patience (Mark), Christoper Conklin, Andrea Matson (Josh), Heather King (Jess), Lori Thompson, Tommy Oswalt (Angie), Amber Bird (Brian) and Sarah Jorges; his great grandchildren, Layne, Willow, Harry, Dillon, Rylee, Serenity, Natalie, Olivia, Nicholas, Matthew, Abigail, Evalyn, Declan, Aiden, Logan, Rossi, Oliver and Luna; his great great grandchild Asher; his sister Phyllis Dito; and his sister-in-law Joy Oswalt. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
