She was predeceased by: her niece Kelly Jo; and her parents, Robert Ward and Helen Ward. She is survived by: her sister Deb Wagner of Newton; and her nieces, Lorie Foreman of Grinnell, Wendy van Zandt (Chad) of Kirksville and Vicky Foreman (John Moore) of Montezuma. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Down Syndrome Foundation.
