She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Harger and Edith Irene Harger (Burt); her daughter Julie Fields; her son-in-law Al Maxfield; her brothers, Vernon Harger and Marvin "Bill" Harger; and her brother-in-law Dale Mohler.
She is survived by: her children, Jodi Kahler (Gerry) of Kalona, Jeffrey Chesick (JoEllyn) of Marshalltown, Jennifer Maxfield of Newton, James Chesick (Carrie) of Haysville, Joyce Johnson (John) of Green Mountain and Cassandra Lopez (Juan) of Wichita, Kansas; and her siblings, Frank Harger (Janet) of Newton and Evelyn Mohler of Newton. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
