With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Flattery of Newton, Iowa, who passed away on April 26, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Flattery (Gene); her parents, Edward Lahart and Mary Lahart; and her brothers, Walter Lahart of LaCrosse, WI and Raymond Lahart of Albia.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Flattery of Melrose, Chris Flattery (Linda) of Carroll and Marcia Graber (Flattery) of Newton; her grandchildren, Alicia Mohr (Mike) of Ankeny and Matt Graber (Ashley); her stepgrandchildren, Paul Lerssen of Carroll and Tami Elston (Dusty) of Clarion; her great grandchildren, Maddex, Merrik and McGwire Mohr; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kylie Lerssen, Alexis Lerssen, Gaige Lerssen and Rillie Elston; and her siblings, Joe Lahart (Ethel) and Teresa Lahart of Albia.
The family respectfully requests that masks be worn at the visitation and service and that everyone practices social distancing.
