He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leslie George and Florence Minnie Gearhart (Miller-Balmer); his wife Dena Schulenklopper; his children, Matthew and Jolie Lee (John) of Johnston; his grandchildren, Nicholas Lee (Hannah Ragsdale) and Hannah; his son Darren Gearhart of Newton; his grandchildren, Emily Benedict (Chad) and Harper; his great grandchild Trevor Gearhart (Tiffany Boley); his sisters, Roberta Emery, Shirley Fifer and Jane Wolf; his sisters-in-law, Marsha Gearhart, Wilma Postma (John) and Cora Vander Heiden; and also, Jayden, Gracie, Aubree, Kimber, Matthew Gearhart of Lawrence and Landon. He was also cherished by his many nephews, nieces and friends.
