With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvin Duane Potter (Newton, Iowa), who passed away on October 13, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Devilla and Elsie Irene Potter (Wilson); his siblings, Byron (Karen), David (Nancy), Russell, Hazel Fritz (Lee) and Fern Ralph (Loy); his siblings-in-law, Meloyd Jacobson and Opal Londo; his niece Lori Henderson; and his nephew Keith Jacobson.

He is survived by: his wife Margery May Pollitt of Newton; his children, Kevin Potter (Karene), Sharri Huyser (Donovan) and Vicki Gardner (Dennis); his brothers, Everett Potter and Floyd Potter (Mary Jo); and his nieces, Joretta, Theresa and Margery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Marvin's family, (and will be given to local prison ministries) or to a charity of your choosing.
