She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ruth and Ollie Mae Moreland Ruth; her husband Tom Hill; and her siblings, Hazel Jacobs, Eloise Shimkat, Robert and Richard Ruth.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Steve Hill (Colette) of Newton, Sue Wolters (Tom) of Newton and Ellen Hill of St. Paul, Minnesota; her grandsons, Nathaniel Hill (Zuzana) of Ann Arbor and Jacob Hill of Grinnell; and her close friend Chris Schmidt.
