She was predeceased by: her parents, George Rex and Mary Louise Hall Gibson; and her brother Jack Gibson. She is survived by: her husband James of Newton; her children, Douglas J. Gaylor (Lisa) of Shrub Oak, Ann D. Rucker (David) of Staunton, Robert D. Gaylor (Cassandra) of Ithaca and Kenneth A. Gaylor (Laura) of Avondale, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, David J. Rucker (Kristie) of Staunton, Bryan R. Rucker (Amanda) of New Douglas, Kellie L. Rucker of Williamsville, Cassandra P. Gaylor of Shrub Oak, Logan Gaylor of Shrub Oak, Reese A. Gaylor of Avondale, James D. and Taavo Gaylor of Ithaca; her great grandchildren, Jeffrey James and Joleigh A. Rucker of Staunton, Illinois; her brother George "Bud" Gibson (Sally) of Indianola; and her brother-in-law David Gaylor (Jill) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the First United Methodist Church.
