She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Marvin and Grace Marie Marvin (Blue); her husband Ira Francis Owens; and her siblings, Norene, Harold and Mardell Marvin.
She is survived by: her daughter Vickie; her son-in-law Lynn Farmer of Cedar Rapids; her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Kathi Owens of Newton; and her siblings, Freda Falkner of Mechanicsville and Jack Marvin of Centerville. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to the Newton Baptist Temple.
