He is survived by: his former wife Judy Kinart; his wife Linda of Newton; his children, Wendy Popelka (Brian) of Eldridge, Sarah Madole (Donovan) of Ankeny, Rhondi Machin of Newton, Chad Machin (Tammy) of Kellogg and Robin Sly (Rich) of Newton; his grandchildren, Owen, Sophie Popelka, Ryan, Aidan Madole, Michael Machin (Heidi), Kaitie Nida, Kenna Machin, Nik Ball, Dayne Sly (Becca), Devin Sly, Keely Dankel (Alec) and Kinzi Sly; his great grandchildren, Addie, Myla, Ellie Nida, Charles, Raegan Machin and Kolynn Sly; his sister Marie Dixon of Mesa, AZ; the mother of his children Judy Lukenbill of Ankeny; and his pet Dixie. He is also survived by His co-workers, family, and even his grandkids' friends.
Due to COVID-19 limitations, a private memorial service will be held.
