He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Trout and Jennie Trout (McCausland); his brothers, Bob and Morris Trout; and his son-in-law Bill Boyce.
He is survived by: his wife LaVola "Bo" Trout of Newton; his daughters, Leslie Maach (Bruce) of Newton, Cheri Doane (Marty) of Des Moines and Jenni Patty (Brad) of Newton; his grandchildren, Emily Kainz (Dan), Andy Heiting-Doane (Jana), Lisa Merkle (John), Lauren Figland (Cory), Shari Maach (David) and Sheila Birlin (Scott); his great grandchildren, Dominick, Olivia, Martin Cyrus, Ellen, Isaac, Lena, Nathan, Payton, Brenna, Brett, Brooke and Bria; his brothers, Dale Trout (Bernice) of Newton and Jerry Trout (Beth) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Trout. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
