She was predeceased by: her parents, James Freeman and Blanche Skaggs (Teed); her husband Frederick Etter, Jr.; and her siblings, Bud Skaggs, Shirley Morris and Betty Van Baale.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck Etter (Sharon) of Ankeny, Dwight Etter (Denise) of Ankeny, Ronald Etter of Newton, Roger Etter (Nancee) of Newton, Tony Etter of Knoxville and Lesa Dean (Dohn) of Newton; her stepdaughter Sharon Kay Herrmann of Illinois; and her sisters, Ardith Huckleberry of Waterloo and Connie Woodruff of Newton. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
