With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Eugene Beard of Newton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Beard and Crystal Beard (Holtz); and his siblings, Betty Galloway and Lester Beard. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Beard of Newton; his children, Gene Beard (Jennifer) of Ankeny, Lynn Ulrey (Doug) of Newton and Kevin Stephens (Cori) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Marianna Fank (Tyler), Allison Conrad (Kory), Jordan Beard and Lexi Beard; and his great grandchildren, Remington and Maisie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
