It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry August Brodersen (Newton, Iowa), who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Brodersen and Lois Brodersen (Van Wyngarden); his daughter Pamela Jo; his wife Marilyn J. Smaniotto; his son-in-law Joe Hoefler; his brothers-in-law, Donald, Raymond Smaniotto and Ronald Lockman; and his nephews, Leo Smaniotto and Edward Lockman.
He is survived by: his former wife Saundra Smith; his children, Cindy McCoy (Michael), Loren Buss (Tim) and Doug Brodersen (Danielle); his grandchildren, Cody, Cameron, Noah, Sutton, Jackson and Sawyer; his siblings-in-law, Gene Smaniotto and Anna Lockman; and his niece Debra Fox.
