He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Simbro and Patricia Simbro (Marshall); his former wife Shari Simbro; his brother Kalven Simbro; and his sister-in-law Janie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Simbro of Newton; his children, Resa Eckhart (Heath) of Urbandale, Ryan Simbro (Sara) of Monroe, Cody Simbro (Stacey) of Sully, Emily Dorr (James) of Fort Collins and Ben Smit of Arcata, California; his grandchildren, Ella, Emma Eckhart, Ryder, Rylyn, Saylem, Saydey, Samuel Simbro, Brock, Beau Simbro, Averie and Daxton Dorr; his siblings, Joyce Kingery (Jerry) of Newton, Carroll Simbro (Jill) of Newton, Steve Smith of Baxter and Merle Smith of Newton; and his sister-in-law Beth Simbro of Baxter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community Heights Alliance Church (2500 S 13th Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kris' name may be left at the church during the services or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (checks made payable to Ryan Simbro).
