She is survived by: her husband Doug Carpenter of Newton; her children, Keri Carpenter (Leonard Weiss) of Coralville, Lindsey Samson (Jeremy) of Baxter, Shane Carpenter (Kari) of Urbandale and Jeremy Carpenter (Cece) of Jumping Branch, WV; and her grandchildren, Chris Hasselbrink, Eliya Hasselbrink, Jessi Carpenter, Jake Carpenter, Caden Carpenter, Lexi Samson, Carter Samson and Cody Samson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
