He is survived by: his wife Barbara McDermott of Newton; his children, Jaci McDermott of Newton and Joe McDermott (Kathy) of Newton; his niece Rose Murphy (Steve) of Newton; his grandchildren, Matt Murphy (Alicia) of Trinity, Grant McDermott (Tammy Brain) of Newton, Reid McDermott of Newton and Brooks McDermott (Jeszi White) of Newton; and his great grandchildren, Jael Lee and Annabelle Lee.
