He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Neef and Henrietta Neef (Willemsen); his former wife Betty Neef; and his son James Neef. He is survived by: his wife Julie Neef of Newton; his children, Jerry Neef (Sue) of Cedar Rapids, Kevin Neef (Tanya) of Hiawatha and Jennifer Patterson (Franz) of Newton; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Neef, Natasha Neef and Keesha Behrens (Cody); his great grandchildren, Mavis and Amanda; and his siblings, Jake Neef (JoAnn), Nellie Verdught (Verle) and Cornie Neef (Jackie).
