He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Long and Mary Long (Doland); and his sister Sue Buckley. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Frias (Oscar) of Cleveland, Kathi Klingensmith of Newton, Virginia Meek (Jim) of Phoenix, Joyce Long (Bob Wouters) of Davenport and Jeff Long (Kris) of Newton; and his nephew Danny Long of Des Moines.
