It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Mary Jones of Newton, Iowa, born in Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Locker and Cecil Locker (Locker); her son Robert; and her siblings, Lois Innis and Ed Locker.

She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Locker (Sandy) of Fridley, Phylis Dean of Grinnell, Connie Locker of Grinnell, Ray Vaughn (Karen) of Ave Maria and Jackie Butcher (Vaughn) of Fuquay Varina; her stepsister Linda Beth Templeton of Newton; and her sons, Norman Jones (Sandy) of Newton, Ron Jones (Peg) of Newton, Chuck Jones (Jenny) of Milo and Mike Jones (Jerri) of Newton.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate that any donations be directed to Traditions Memory Care in Newton.
