He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brecken Bogner and Tanner Bird; his siblings, Gary Bird of Newton and Cindy Van Zante (Duane) of Knoxville; his siblings-in-law, Jean Guy of Newton and Ron Lambert (Evelyn) of Des Moines; and his friend Kelly Harlow.
