It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Wesley Hunt Jr. of Newton, Iowa, born in Pleasantville, Iowa, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Wesley Hunt, Sr. and Neola Hunt (Melick); his son Ronald Hunt; his grandsons, Casey Roland and Kyle Roland; and his brothers, Ronnie Hunt and Larry Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Hunt of Newton; his children, Theckla Hendrickson of Brenham, Texas, Tonya Roland of Brenham, Texas, Carolyn Lee Pomikal of Brenham, Texas and Troy Morris (Lea) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Alexis Geary, Lillian Morris, London Morris, Leslie Gilbert, Benjamin Avila, Jessie Hendrickson and Jamie Hendrickson; and his siblings, Janet Clark of Seattle and Randy Hunt (Stella) of Weatherford, Texas.. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
