He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Moses and Dorothy Moses (Watkins); and his siblings-in-law, Jerry and Betty Schiller. He is survived by: his wife Michele Schiller Smead (Jo); his son Scott Smead (Sabrina) of Newton; his grandsons, Karter of Newton, Gavin of Newton, Luke of Newton and Max Smead of Newton; and his siblings, Pam Ford (Steve) of Vermillion and Bob Moses (Linda) of Richmond, Missouri. He is also survived by his many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and his many extended family and friends.
