He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hallstrom and Caroline Hallstrom (Lidstrom); and his siblings, Marion Kluender (Harry), Lorena Nelson (Enoch), Della Richardson (Don), Holger (Helen), Hilding (Irene), Harold (Gladys), Henry (Delpha), Carl, Torry and Earl Hallstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Joann James of Newton; his children, David E. Hallstrom (Brenda) of Paola and GeorgAnne Talsma (Bill) of Newton; his grandchildren, Cody Hallstrom (Casey), Baker Hallstrom, Mackenzie Hallstrom, Lindsey Bosch (Joel) and Stacey Gorter (Harley); his great grandchildren, Kenadie, Karsyn, Kailee Hallstrom, Vera, Etta Bosch, Henry, Oliver and George Gorter; his sisters-in-law, Carol Hallstrom, Florence Hallstrom and Loraine Carlson; and his pets, Bugsy and Bingo. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
