It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Frederick Moon (Newton, Iowa), born in Knoxville, Iowa, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Santford and Maude Elizabeth Moon (Moon); his wife Ellen Larsen; his son George F. Moon II; and his siblings, Beatrice Bingham, Ruby Holdsworth, Lucille Hegwood, Edna Smith and Paul Moon.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Melody; his daughter Melody Bonenberger (David); his daughter-in-law Faye Moon; his grandchildren, James Collin Moon, Karen Moon and Rachel Moon; and his great grandchildren, Evan Moon, Ethan Moon, Easton Moon, Kaelie Spallholtz and Austin Moon Raabe.
Memorials are being designated to Immanuel Baptist Church, Hope Ministries or to a charity of your choosing.
