It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garry Lee Shives of Newton, Iowa, born in Knoxville, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shives, and Dorothy Shives, Sr. (Bowers); and his brothers, Ronald and Kenneth Shives. He is survived by: his wife Linda Shives of Newton; his son Shawn Wolfe (Shaun) of Pleasant Hill; his granddaughter Brooke Wolfe (Aiden Mantarro Moore) of Pleasant Hill; his siblings, Karen Jones (Ron) of Knoxville, Harry Shives, Jr. (Alice) of Monroe, Roy Shives (Pam) of Minnesota and Cheryl Gale (Jim) of Tennessee; his sisters-in-law, Wilma, Barb Shives and Donna Clement; and his father-in-law Guy Hodge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
