He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Keeton; his daughter Kelly Jo Keeton; his parents, Elmer Keeton and Edith Blomgren (Scott); his brother Dennis Keeton; and his siblings-in-law, Hilbert and Joy Phipps.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Keeton (Lisa) of Albia, Brian Keeton (LaNita) of Newton and David Keeton (Dana) of Liberty, Missouri; his grandchildren, Deanna (Tony), Aaron Keeton, Jonah (Ashlee), Tessa, Jaxon Keeton, Gannon, Connor and Dinnah Keeton; and his great grandchildren, Ivy, William and Behron. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
