It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Trotter of Newton, Iowa, who passed away on October 23, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Samuel and Clarice Millie Trotter (McWhirter); his wife Anita Nelson; and his brother David Michael "Mike" Trotter. He is survived by: his children, Rob Trotter of Newton, Lisa Kruse of Newton and Tracy Chamberlain of Newton; his grandchildren, Vanessa Trotter of Newton, Chelsea Salsman (Trent) of New Mexico, Maddison Kruse of Arizona, Michael Kruse of Arizona, Allison Chamberlain of Newton and Gunnar Bucklin (Chai) of Newton; his great grandchildren, Layne, Naliapon and Salsman; and his siblings, Saundra Funk (Rich) of Spirit Lake and Rick Trotter of Kellogg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
