She was predeceased by: her parents, Arie Olsthoorn and Hattie Olsthoorn (Bruxvoort); her former husband Alvin Copelin; her siblings, Marion and Harriet Van Wyk; her siblings-in-law, Sara Olsthoorn and Walter Van Wyk; and her stepson Lenny Stadtmiller.
She is survived by: her former husband Joseph Waiksnis; her husband Joe of Marshalltown; her siblings, Gerald Olsthoorn (Pansy) of Hays, Kansas, Ardella Burr (John) of Newton, Ruth Graham (Ron) and Harvey Olsthoorn (Sandra) of Kellogg; her stepgrandchildren, Dana Anderson (Andrew) of Kellogg and Andrea Lawson of Des Moines; and her great grandchildren, Makatlyn and Khryssa Anderson of Kellogg.
Memorials are being designated to the Dodie's family or to a charity of your choosing. {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks will be optional, but encouraged at the services.} Dodie the daughter of Arie and Hattie (Bruxvoort) Olsthoorn, was born July 25, 1932, in rural Jasper County, Iowa.
