It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald L Rethmeier of Newton, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rethmeier and Rosa Rethmeier (Tinnermeier); and his son Mike Rethmeier. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Rethmeier; his children, Ron Rethmeier (Jeannie) of Laurel, Jill Watson (Redd) of Fairfield, Tim Rethmeier (Gayle) of Winterset and Carma Rethmeier of Winfield, Kansas; and his sister Verna Rethmeier. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
