With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Lee McKinney (Newton, Iowa), born in Monroe, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clarence and Grace Irene McKinney (Jackson); his wife Hilma Mae Dammeier; and his brothers, Wayne and Lloyd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Ritter, Rhonda Boyd (Rich) and Penny Wrage (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Lee Ritter (Karen), Amy Jones (Curt), Roy Ritter (Jennifer), Emily Boyd, Caitlin Lawson (Josh), Brandon Boyd (Corrie), Tammy Reese and Derek Wrage. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Palo Alto Cemetery (4968 Hwy S74 S, Newton, IA 50208).
