He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Black and Jeannette Black (Bavis). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Blaker; his daughters, Jennifer Livermore (Scott) of Muscatine and Diane Sloan (Brian) of Kearney, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Jordyn Livermore (Dustin Burkett), Taylor Livermore (Blaine Rexroth), Jackson Livermore (Reagan Caffery), Grant Sloan (Erin) and Vaughn Sloan; and his siblings, Sue Bengford (David) and Gary Black (Rose). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (220 N 2nd Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials to Newton Dollars for Scholars or Wesley Life Hospice can be left at the church on the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.
