With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Craig Johnson of Newton, Iowa, born in Waynesville, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnson and Letha Johnson (Slycord); and his siblings, Candace O'Brien, Charles Johnson, Jr. and Kent Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Johnson of Lambs Grove; his children, Adam Johnson of Las Vegas, Wendy Woody of Grimes, Jill Howe (Eric) of Fort Mill, Mary Dafflitto (Dane) of Newton and Dan Kern of Kalona; his grandchildren, Brennon Woody, Kaden Woody, Miranda Howe, Adrienne Thomas (Kylie), Tyler Dafflitto (Alexis), Jerica Dafflitto, Ashley Jernigan (Edward) and Alyssa Kern; his great grandchildren, Matthew and Greyson; and his siblings, Mary Cocking, David Johnson and Steve Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home.
