He is survived by: his wife Brenda Trostel of Newton; his children, Amy Trostel of Newton, Amber Trostel of Newton and Ryan Trostel (Carla Gorman) of Chicago, Illinois; his stepsister Kelly Mattingly (Paul) of Newton; his grandchildren, Jazmin Chance, Gavin Trostel, Isacc Chance, Konner Revell and Ofelia Garcia-Trostel; his siblings, Debra Larsen (Kermit) of Cedar Falls, Donnie Trostel (Teresa) of Goodyear, Daniel Trostel (Bonnie) of Oceanside, Diane Redmond (John) of Watkins and Douglas Trostel of West Virginia; and also Jocelyn Garcia-Atilano. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
