He is survived by: his children, Jill Sawvel of Angier, Lisa Halloran (Jim) of West Jefferson, Scott Sawvel (Debbie) of Willow Spring and Jeff Sawvel (Valentina) of Willow Spring; his grandchildren, Clinton Sawvel of Willow Spring, Timothy Sawvel (Nicole) of Eagle River, AK, Samantha Currin (Jon) of Raleigh, Joseph Sawvel (Autumn) of Willow Spring, Julie White (Darin) of Angier and Anthony Halloran of West Jefferson; his grandson-in-law Van Barbour; his great grandchildren, Maddie, Noah, Levi, Isaac, Oakleigh Barbour, Eli, Joey Sawvel, Rodger, Amelia, Charlie Currin, Blakely, Georgia Sawvel and Lyla White; and his sister Betty Reckinger.
