He is survived by: his wife Judy Hoyt of Newton; his sisters, Marilyn Cox of Riverton, Sondra Rater-Ratliff of Ankeny and Kathy Sevenbergen (Keith) of Newton; his godchild Kelsey Lynn Ambrose of Des Moines; and also Millie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
