He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Smith (Tice). He is survived by: his father Gary Smith of Newton; his daughter Kelly Smith (Chris Lynch) of Newton; his grandchildren, Austin Smith, Quentin Anderson, Kierstin Smith and Christofer Lynch; his great grandchildren, Bellamy and Kiyah Smith; and his siblings, David Smith (Melody) of Newton, Cindy Dittmer (Scott) of Newton and Amy Ray (Chad) of Newton. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
