She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin Brooks and Eva Brooks (Thomas); her husband Don Cox; her sister Mabel; her brother-in-law Paul Overturf; her brother Donald; her sisters-in-law, Kay Brooks and Sandy Brooks; and her siblings, Rose Widmar (Bob), Susan Lappinen of Ottumwa, Jack Brooks of Elkins, AR and David Brooks of Wichita, KS.

She is survived by: her daughter Dianna Ambroson (Larry) of Newton; her grandchildren, Derek Ambroson (Alexxis), Ashley Stravers (Justin), Abby Ambroson and Katy Landwier (Alek); and her great grandchildren, Zoe, Kyla Ambroson and Sawyer Breckenridge. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
