He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Snook and Henrietta Snook (Jess); his former wife Billie Snook; and his sisters, Helen Van Maaren and Wanda Gearhart.
He is survived by: his wife Darlyne Snook of Newton; his children, Terry Shaw (John) and Rob Snook (Debi); his grandchildren, Emilie Simons, Alexandra Lindholm (Eric), Jamie Snook (Andrea), Susan Snook (Jeff), Kelly Skelley (Brent) and TJ Snook (Kelsey); his stepchildren, Jeff Ver Heul (Ann), Luke Ver Heul and Sue Wheeler; and his siblings, Dorothy Van Horn and Robert Snook. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
