The memory of Betty Ann Southern of Newton, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alman Kenyon and Fern Kenyon (Pangburn); her daughter Deborah Brown; and her brother Robert Kenyon. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Southern of Newton; her son David Southern (Amanda Corzette) of Reasnor; her grandsons, Matthew Brown (Meri) and Brock Southern; and her great grandchildren, Jacquelin Veldhuizen (Cody), Alice and Abraham Brown.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Church (314 E 2nd St N, Newton, IA 50208). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials to the First Christian Church may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
