She is survived by: her children, Franz Patterson (Jennifer) of Newton, Silvia Patterson of Newton, Shirley Johnson (Jerry) of Runnells and Kathryn Hopman of Newton; her grandchildren, Christopher Johnson (Elizabeth), Sara Ohlfest (Jason) and Emily Hopman; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Julia, Preston, Elliott and Everett; and her siblings, Hans Schmidt and Friedle Schmidt.
