James D. Shaffer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James D. Shaffer of Newhall, Iowa, born in Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on October 1, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Shaffer and Doris Shaffer (Saul); and his sister Marilyn Berner. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Radtke; his children, Scott Shaffer (Angela) of Danville, IL, Susan Umbdenstock (Mike) of Montour, Matthew Shaffer (Rebecca) of Hiawatha, Jeremy Wecker (Tammy) of Van Horne, Samuel Shaffer (Angela) of Cedar Rapids and Joshua Wecker (Echo) of Marion; his grandchildren, Katie Shaffer, Matthew, Jaime Eggers, Rachael, James, Kennedy Shaffer, Michael Taylor, Mason, Nora Wecker, Zoey and Molly Wecker; and his sister Mary "Diane".

Masks should be worn, and social distancing will be practiced at the church.
